The Abhidhamma Pitaka, consists of seven books or treatises. Each book focuses on different aspects of reality, the mind, and psychological analysis. Here is a brief overview of the seven books of the Abhidhamma Pitaka:

  1. Dhammasangani (Enumeration of Phenomena): This book provides an extensive classification and enumeration of various mental and physical phenomena. It categorizes these phenomena into different groups, such as wholesome and unwholesome factors, sense faculties, elements, and aggregates.

  2. Vibhanga (Book of Analysis): The Vibhanga further analyzes and elaborates on the different categories of phenomena outlined in the Dhammasangani. It examines the factors that constitute consciousness, mental factors, the five aggregates, and other aspects of experience.

  3. Dhatukatha (Discussion on Elements): This book discusses the different elements or factors that make up existence. It explores the primary elements, secondary elements, and derived elements, which are essential components of the mind and matter.

  6. Yamaka (The Book of Pairs): The Yamaka is a unique text that examines various pairs of dhammas, such as wholesome and unwholesome factors, causes and effects, and different aspects of consciousness. It analyzes these pairs in terms of their characteristics, functions, manifestations, and relationships.

  7. Patthana (Conditional Relations): The Patthana is the largest and most complex book in the Abhidhamma Pitaka.
